Self Love vs Disconnect

D I S C O N N E C T comes in many forms for different people.  There are some similar traits for us all:

  • Too much screen time
  • Too busy
  • Too much stress
  • Too focussed on external things
  • Too focussed on OTHER people’s business
  • Not eating and sitting together
  • Not sharing your own truths out of fear
  • LACK OF SELF-CARE

Leads to being disconnected from the N O W  the present. Although disconnect can also mean:

  • Turn off the screens
  • Reduce screen time
  • Turn off the main stream TV
  • Focus on your self first and your family
  • Sit and eat and share your day together
  • Speak your truth
  • Take care of your self- fill your own cup

To manage any of these things we need to make a dedicated commitment to ourselves, knowing your worth, and knowing there really is only NOW. If you are worried about what happened in the past or worried about the future- you miss the present.

Take some time and sit write down anything or everything that YOU believe needs attention and make steps to change them. Some people like to jump in all at once- cut out the “crap”- processed foods, cut out the coffee, alcohol, start a movement diary, meal plan, start a journal or mindfulness streak.. whatever it is.. do it NOW- it is the ultimate form of self-love, and when you love yourself- you can show others, it makes your world easier to live in too. If you need help – ask for it, see a counsellor, get a healing, go for a massage, see a Naturopath or nutritionist, but first take the time to acknowledge what you need to make your world a better place to be.
