About my journey of cleansing and fasting for optimal health
My personal experience with fasting started when I was 29, recovering from cancer.
At that time, I had been eating a wholefood, minimal meat, nutrient dense plan for at least 6 months. My first detox was a juice fast as this had the best research at the time on autophagy (death of diseased cells). This process allows the body to rid the cells of toxic waste products and damaged parts. Autophagy is best triggered between 24 to 48 hours of fasting.
