A gentle, whole-food, mostly plant based cleanse to:

  • Activate gut healing
  • Boost your energy
  • Improve your sleep and overall well-being

Detoxing should be enjoyable! In spring/summer we aspire towards salads and juice fasting for cooling and refreshing. For autumn/winter we look for nourishing, warming foods with density and heat.

It is not just about fuelling your body, its about the cyclical nature and goodness of nutrient dense foods and how that aligns with your body.

Eating seasonally also lessens the environmental impact, as when food is shipped or transported it creates a larger global footprint. Sourcing seasonally also means you are supporting the local farmers and communities. Your food is not put into cold storage and gassed with ethylene to ripen in time to reach stores. There are many benefits to eating seasonally, our ancestors had no choice, they hunted, gathered, and preserved seasonal foods.

About my journey of cleansing and fasting for optimal health

My personal experience with fasting started when I was 29, recovering from cancer.

At that time, I had been eating a wholefood, minimal meat, nutrient dense plan for at least 6 months. My first detox was a juice fast as this had the best research at the time on autophagy (death of diseased cells). This process allows the body to rid the cells of toxic waste products and damaged parts. Autophagy is best triggered between 24 to 48 hours of fasting. Some of the many benefits are: Improving cognitive function, protecting against cardiovascular disease, boosting immune system, reducing inflammation, and slowing ageing! (bonus)

I initially visited Helen King’s office due to some really debilitating symptoms associated with my inability to retain food or fluids. After attending my GP & running a series of 8 different tests & a medical procedure, the outcome was unresolved as they couldn’t find anything medically wrong. I was lethargic, I couldn't sit, stand or lay down for more than a few minutes at a time as my body hurt, I couldn’t keep food or fluid down or in & was really starting to feel like this was going to be the end of me.
